The port of Naples is located in the heart of the city of Naples and is, for this reason, be reached without any difficulty from anywhere in the city of Naples.
The Port of Naples is located in the center of Naples, a few steps from the central Piazza Municipio. It is at 10 minutes by public transport from the railway station in Piazza Garibaldi, and only 15 km from the international airport of Capodichino.
By car, exit the ring road at the exit Via Marina just continue on the same street and a few minutes you find yourself in front of the Maschio Angioino. On the right is the entrance to the Port of Naples.

Reach the Port of Naples by car
First of all, let’s see how we can reach the port of Naples with a car. First, we must get out of the ring road, turning to the exit direction by Marina.
After, we go along the same road and, in a few minutes, we are faced with the “Maschio Angioino”, one of the historical monuments of Naples.
At this point, we turn right and we have already entered the port.
We just have to park our car in the garage, 100 meters away from each other and all guarded and paid. Once able to park our car, we can finally enjoy the sea, sun and great views with romantic walks on the coast.
Reach the port by public transports
If we do not have a car, we can reach Mergellina via convenient public transport. The choice to make is between the bus and the subway.
If our starting point is the center of Naples, we can take advantage of the buses 152 to 140 and 254, which will take us a few steps from Piazza del Plebiscito.
If, instead, we must start from the Flegrei area, we can take the bus C18 and R7, falling to Piazza Municipio, after the characteristic tunnel.
Another useful way may be the subway: Line 2 allows us to get off in the stop of Mergellina.
To board any means of transport, we must have the ticket “Biglietto Unico Napoli“, purchased at the bar, newsstands or tobacco shops.

From Capodichino Naples Airport, you can go to the port by taxi. In this case it is advisable to book an authorized taxi with fixed rate to the port, so there are no surprises at the end of the race.
Or you can choose between two bus lines: the line 3S to Piazza Garibaldi, which runs every 30 minutes in front of the arrivals from 05.20 AM at 23.20, or dedicated line Alibus, which provides bus stop to the Central Station, and then directly to opposite the Port, Piazza Municipio. it works from 06.30 AM to midnight.
